What Would It Be Like to Be 400 Years Old? By CLARE CLARK FEB. 16, 2018

“…To him his longevity is a curse, forcing him from an early age to live alone. His unchanging appearance arouses hostility and suspicion. Superstitious neighbors condemn his mother as a witch. Similar accusations dog his beloved wife, Rose, and daughter, Marion, until he must leave them for their own safety. In the 400 years since Rose’s death he has roamed the world, unwilling to settle, unable to find happiness. The only thing that keeps him from taking his own life is the knowledge that Marion has inherited his condition and is out there somewhere, waiting for him to find her. ..”

Light in the Darkness: Harry Potter and the Bible

This is an excerpt from an article reposted from today’s issue of The Renegade Author

“.. The Harry Potter series is the best-selling book series of all time, and as much as it may anger fundamentalist Christians, the similarities between the Harry Potter and the Bible do not end there…The Harry Potter series is the best-selling book series of all time, and as much as it may anger fundamentalist Christians, the similarities between the Harry Potter and the Bible do not end there.”

My personal comments (S Valtsioti):

I found this article to be very interesting…debate material for sure. One can find allegories everywhere, we can create parallels in the most unlikely places.

I am not sure that I agree or disagree with the idea that there are similarities between Harry Potter and the Bible…or rather, that certain parallels can be drawn…

I would love to hear your opinion…Please leave a comment with your opinions!

Based on a true story.
Markella’s burning desire is to share what she knows with the world. But she can’t.
A situation develops and push comes to shove. She decides to write it all out, bringing to life a chatty journal filled with information about her husband, Nick, alias Mallias, a renowned card cheat, a mobster.
They make quite the couple. Some love them, some hate them, while so many love to hate them.
Markella takes time to get her thoughts together, expressing half of what she is thinking always. She writes in her slow burn style, sometimes staccato and sometimes rambling, sometimes brash and often politically incorrect, filling the pages of her journal with their story, one drenched with crime, mystery, eccentricity, double-crossers, dripping with the unique flavors of Greece, New York, and Osaka and soaked through and through with gossip, romance and a touch of the metaphysical.
